What a proper replacement includes

• New flashing at chimneys, walls, and pipes — reusing old flashing is where leaks come back
• Balanced ventilation: intake at the soffit, exhaust at the ridge
• Drip edge, starter, and ridge cap
• Magnet sweep and full cleanup
