Siding repair
Not every siding problem needs a full replacement. Storm damage, a few cracked panels, rot behind a leaking gutter, or woodpecker holes are repairs. We will tell you honestly which one you are looking at.
What we repair
- Hail and wind damage — cracked, punctured, or blown-off panels, with insurance documentation
- Rot and water damage — including the sheathing behind it, which is usually the real problem
- Cracked or faded vinyl panel swaps with the closest available color match
- LP SmartSide and engineered wood swelling at the bottom edge
- Fiber cement cracks, caulk joints, and butt-joint flashing
- Woodpecker and animal damage
- Trim, corners, J-channel, and starter strip replacement
- Housewrap and flashing correction where water is getting behind the siding
The color match problem
Vinyl fades. A ten-year-old wall will not match a brand new panel of the same color, even from the same manufacturer. Our usual approach is to pull matching panels from a hidden elevation — behind a garage or a low back wall — and put the new panels there instead, so the visible wall stays uniform. Discontinued profiles can often be sourced from siding salvage suppliers.

Repair or replace?
Repair when damage is contained to a few panels, the rest of the wall is sound, and the material is still available. Replace when more than about 25% of a wall is damaged, when the siding is brittle enough that removing one panel cracks its neighbors, or when you keep finding water behind it — at that point you are paying twice for the same wall.

FAQ
Will insurance cover hail damage to siding?
Often yes, if the damage is documented and the claim is filed within the policy window. We photograph the damage and provide a written scope you can submit.
Can you match my existing siding color?
We get as close as the manufacturer and fade allow. On visible walls we typically relocate original panels from a hidden elevation so the new panels go where nobody looks.
Can siding be repaired in winter?
Vinyl gets brittle below roughly 40°F and cracks when handled, so cold-weather vinyl work carries risk. Emergency weatherproofing can be done any time; full repairs are best scheduled for warmer weather.
How do I know if there is rot behind the siding?
Soft or spongy walls, bubbling paint on trim, musty smells inside the wall, or siding that moves when you press it. It is most common under leaking gutters, around windows, and at the base of the wall.
